Projects like this are what makes MTC so special. This is the layout of the MTC SKOOLIE, a multi-program challenge to transform a school bus into a home. Thanks to a donation from Rockingham County Public Schools - VA of a full size school bus, we have a blank canvas to meet this challenge. The plans start in the amazing Architecture/Interior Design program, where they drew plans and picked colors for the interior and exterior of the SKOOLIE, and then our Building Management program took over prepping and building it up (where it is currently in process today). They have stripped the bus down, sanded, repaired, and are now painting the exterior prior to building up the home inside. From there, our HVAC, Electrical and other programs will lend their skills to ensure that a well built, sturdy and beautiful home is created alongside our friends in Building Management.
