MTC Student wins second place at national skills competition

MTC recently took multiple students to Atlanta, Georgia to compete in the National SkillsUSA Competitions. The week was met with many exciting and challenging events and adventures! MTC is happy to report that Cosmetology student Caitlyn Crawford earned 2nd place in her Esthetics competition! This is the second year in a row that she has been on the podium, improving from her 3rd place bronze medal in 2025! Caitlyn is the first student in MTC history to compete and place in the top three of the nation two years in a row! Congratulations to Caitlyn and her model, BrynnLynn for showcasing your skills in a phenomenal way! You make us #mtcproud!

MTC also saw many successes while competing in Atlanta:

3D Visualization and Animation - Braden Hadley and Jackson Bell place 13th.

Customer Service (Criminal Justice Program) - Eli Kohl placed 17th.

Firefighting - Elisha Robinson placed 29th.

Action Skills (Diesel Technology) - Jacob Gilley placed 9th.

Diesel Equipment Technology - Kolton Fellenstein placed 5th.
